Searching

1. Double-click on an index.
2. To Browse, click on + signs to expand indexes.
3. To Search either
   • Type keywords in the Find line at the bottom of the screen. This searches all fields in an index.
   • To limit a search to single field, select Search Forms from the Book Menu, select a type of search from the Search Form listbox and enter your terms.

Viewing Results

Using the +, expand any parts of the index with numbers listed. The numbers represent the number of hits in that section. Keep using the + until you're looking at a citation.

Read the citation as shown below:

Printing

How much you print is determined by how far down in the index you are.

• If you are looking at a single citation, then that's all that will be printed.
• If you're at the top level of the House of Commons, you'll print the whole index.

1. From the File Menu select Print
2. Select the appropriate Section (if not already selected) and leave Print Formats selected as Fulltext
   • For the Sessional Index only, you may select GS Text, which is Sessional years, Volumes, Page, Sessional number, and General Subject only.

Saving to Disk

Users may, on Fillmore ONLY, copy and paste from the indexes.

1. Copy the information wanted.
2. Open a word processing program:
   • Start Menu > Programs > Accessories either Notepad or WordPad
   • Start Menu > Programs > Microsoft Office and Word
