Get the Publications:
  1. Record the FBIS Region, Title, Date, Page Number and Issue (if indicated).
  2. Go the US microfiche cabinets and look for the PrEx 7.10/3: drawers.

Searching

Initial Search Screen:    Keyword Search Screen  |  Customized Search Screen

Initial Search Screen where you choose between the simple Keyword Search or the advanced Customized Search.

Keyword Search Screen:    View Results  |  Back to Initial Search Screen

For keyword searches, enter terms or phrases (designated with quotes) and hit the Enter key.

Customized Search Screen:    Browse Screen  |  Back to Initial Search Screen

In the Customized Search choose a particular field to search and then follow the Keyword Search instructions. Customized Search also permits browsing of individual fields by selecting one and then hitting the F5 key.

Browse Screen:    View Results  |  Back to Initial Search Screen

To Browse, start typing a word and the list will move to that word or its closest match.
 

Viewing Results

Initial Results Screen:    Results List Screen

The first results screen will default to an option for refining the search to decrease the results. If the number of results is acceptable, either use the down arrow to get to the third option down, See Results, or hit the F8 key.

Results List Screen:    Individual Record Screen  |  Back to Initial Results Screen

The list of all results will show on this screen. Use the arrows to scroll to results of interest and hit the Enter key or the F8 key.

Individual Record Screen:    Print Records or Save Records  |  Back to Initial Results Screen

This screen shows the contents of the record chosen. Use the left and right arrows to see others.

Printing

Print Screen  |  Back to Individual Record Screen

To print or save, hit the F4 key and choose the desired option.

 

Saving to Disk
