Accomodations

There are three hotels in Morris (2 near campus, 1 further away). A block of rooms has been reserved for Wednesday night (May 5), and Thursday night (May 6) at the Best Western Prairie Inn, under Government Documents Spring Forum. The Best Western has the Ranch House restaurant, a swimming pool, sauna, whirlpool, and large vehicle parking!

If you are heading into Morris from the Twin Cities or St. Cloud, the Prairie Inn is the first hotel you will come to (before Pamida). The Super 8 is the second (they’re a block apart). Be aware that commencement will take place on May 8, so hotels may begin to fill up.

Dining

A continental breakfast will be provided both Thursday and Friday. Lunch on Thursday will include a vegetarian option. The forum should be finished by 1:00 (at latest) on Friday.

Meeting Room, Parking, Maps and Directions

Meeting room: Moccasin Flower Room
The Moccasin Flower Room is located in the basement of the Student Center. Signs will be posted from the parking lot directing attendees to the room. There is a tunnel connecting the Science Building (next to the West parking lot) and the Student Center. The signs will direct you through the tunnel.

If you are unable to locate the room, please ask at the library or the information desk in the Student Center, and they will direct you. http://www.mrs.umn.edu/directories/tour/student_center.shtml

Parking will be available in the West parking lot; no permit is needed.

DO NOT park in the visitor’s spaces (a minority of spaces in the lot).
