County Business Patterns (CBP) is an annual series that provides subnational economic data by industry. CBP is useful for studying the economic activity of small areas; analyzing economic changes over time; and as a benchmark for statistical series, surveys, and databases between economic censuses. Data are provided by industry in the following economic divisions: agricultural services, forestry, and fishing; mining; construction; manufacturing; transportation and public utilities; wholesale trade; retail trade; finance, insurance, and real estate; and services. - Economic Census 1997

Eurostat
The Eurostat website contains a mix of statistical information in PDF pages, pre-defined tables and interactive databases. The coverage varies by topic, but some data goes back at least to 1929. International Financial Statistics

International Financial Statistics (IFS) is the electronic version of the International Monetary Fund's standard source of statistics on all aspects of international and domestic finance from more than 200 IMF countries. It contains approximately 32,000 time series of financial and economic data. Topics covered include exchange rates, IMF postion, international liquidity, money and banking accounts, interest rates, prices, production, international transactions, government accounts, national accounts, and population. The database contains annual, monthly, and quarterly data going back as far as 1945. Data output formats include CSV, Excel. HTML, and TAB delimited. - REIS Regional Economic Information System, 1969-
