The retail sales data is from the Minnesota Department of Revenue's sales and use tax information. Data is available for eight two-digit Standard Industrial Codes and total retail sales. Categories include general merchandise stores, food stores, auto dealers, apparel and accessory stores, and eating and drinking places. The trend-line report also includes retail sales per household and as percent of income. Geographic levels are: state, economic development region, county and minor civil division.
